Pint can. Pours an opaque black color with a medium/small beige head that soon recedes. Aroma of well roasted malts and chocolates. The taste is also well roasted malts, char, milk chocolates. minerals and bitter coffee. The palate is medium body with soft carbonation. Finishes long and semi-sweet with lingering bitter malts. Overall: decent stout. paired well with some Appenzeller cheese

On tap at Chuck's Hop Shop - Greenwood, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is soft, with gentle fuzzy peaches, not much else. Flavour has a strange peach character, with a seltzery character, fruity peaches, and a mineraly finish. Very odd — never quite had anything like this. Not bad.

16oz can from Brewers Haven. Clear golden pour, thin, tight white head. Dank, hoppy aroma, floral. Taste brings the dank too, soapy, weedy, citrus with a light bitter bite and a relatively clean finish.
On tap. Pours a clear orange hue with a medium white head. A big sweet perfume nose. Rich, oily hops, perfume, sweet citrus. Very smooth. Hoppy. Great.

Orange body with thick white head. Good malty with spice hop aroma. Full malt forward taste with toasty finish.

500mL bottle. Pours jet black with small beige head. Aroma has a ton of vanilla bean and chocolate with some bourbon to offset; maybe some nutty flavour. Flavour has chocolate and vanilla bean, some bourbon. Not really getting much dates or almonds. Better-integrated than the almond-less version, though both are a huge punch of chocolate and vanilla.

Dark brown, thin head, there's still a lot of vanilla. This has a fair bit of carbonation, relative to the non-almond variant. That makes it a bit lighter, and removes some of the sugary complexity.

16 oz. bottle, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma has plenty of vanilla beans, some cocoa, and bourbon -- not getting dates or almonds. Flavour has lots of dark sugars, vanilla beans, a touch of cocoa, some rounded bourbon, but not really any almond character. The vanilla bean character is much more tempered than in the non-almond version. Cohesive and integrated, despite not showcasing the dates or almonds. Excellent.

500mL bottle. Pours jet black with small beige head. Aroma has a ton of chocolate and vanilla. Flavour has a decadent chocolate and vanilla profile, boozy on the finish, maybe some dates if I concentrate. Very much dominated by the vanilla beans and chocolate; still very good.
