Dark brown. The aroma has a lot of vanilla. This has a big chocolate, vanilla character. There's a great chocolate. Big body, a touch of syrup. The barrel character is pretty good here, lending a rich bourbon. I'm not finding the dates unless I get mentally creative.

16 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is full of vanilla beans and bourbon barrels upfront, with a touch of cocoa nibs. Flavour is really intense on the vanilla bean expression -- holy crap -- with light cocoa and plenty of bourbon to round things out. Not getting the dates at all. This is a total vanilla bean bomb. Regardless, tasty.

Medium brown and looks kinda murky. Sweet, dates, toffee, light coffee. Big barrel, like really nice treatment. Good quality brew, once you get past the looking like shit thing.

Flavour is full of decadent vanilla beans, some bourbon notes, and plenty of chocolate. Huge vanilla and chocolate presence that's nicely accentuated by the barrels. Excellent.

500mL bottle. Pours black with minimal tan head. Aroma has vanilla, coconut, chocolate, peanuts. Flavour has peanut, bourbon, chocolate, vanilla, coconut, banana. Pretty heavy-handed, but flavours are well-integrated. Mouthfeel is thick and almost syrupy. Very much a pastry beer, well-executed.
