Au pays d'Olt, la bière à un nom... RATZ.

Du nom de son brasseur, Christophe RATZ - ingénieur à l'INSA de Toulouse et ancien rugbyman - a installé la Brasserie Artisanale Ratz en 2001 dans le département du Lot aux portes de Cahors, après avoir acquis une grande partie de son expérience professionnelle dans des brasseries artisanales en Belgique et en Angleterre.

Sa créativité et sa passion lui ont permis de relancer la bière artisanale dans le Quercy.

Christophe RATZ a su mêler le meilleur de son savoir-faire et le respect de ce terroir pour brasser cette bière, infusion de pur malt et de houblon aromatique.

Sample @ Nieuwjaarsreceptie Gentse Biervereniging. Thanks for sharing! Hazy brown colour, beige foam. Sweet nose of caramel, liquorice, light roastiness. More sweet malts than bitter roastiness.

Bottled. Cloudy golden, mid sized head. Sheer lemon aroma. Mid sweet with light body and rounded mouthfeel. Simplistic lemon concentrate flavour. Low bitterness.

Bottled. Clear golden, rich head. Fruity grassy nose. Mid sweet with light body and rounded, spritzy mouthfeel. Fruity and restrained, down to earth mild flavours, Light grassy bitterness.

Bottled. Hazy pale golden, brief head. Quite intense aroma of tangerine and coriander. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Coriander, sweaty citrus and wheat bread. Low bitterness. Hoppy, spicy and well drinkable.
