Alameda Brewhouse is a brewpub in the heart of the Beaumont Village in Northeast Portland. We have been in business for nine years, offering hand crafted ales and freshly prepared food. All of our beers are produced on location in our 5.5 BBL brewhouse under the watch of headbrewer Carston Haney. He produces a wide variety of beers, from the light, refreshing Siskiyou Golden Ale to the deep, impenetrable Black Bear Double Stout, which won the Gold Medal at the 2003 GABF and the Silver Medal in 2006 and 2008 in the foreign-style stout category. In addition, there is always at least one seasonal beer on tap to fit the mood of the season and one selection served on nitrogen.

750mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is loaded with boozy rum barrels, followed by light coconut and cloying sugar. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of coconut, booze, and rum barrels. Confused and chaotic. Harsh stuff.

Medium brown. On the nose, diacetyl, and some toasty brown malt notes. Has a lot of diacetyl, some toast...just buttered toast, not rum butter, nothing fun. Not for me.

Bottl - Chocolate and some coconut. Deep brown sith a decent beige head. Sweet dark cocoa and chocolate with toasted coconut.

Draft - Citrus, Belgian yeast and some perfume. Cloudy yellow gold with a small white head. Tea like notes and a long finish. Odd and a bit starchy.

Draft - Soft woody tequila notes, touch of buttery notes which could be barrel. Clear gold with a decent white head. Woody tequila notes and bitterness. If you like tequila you will like this.
