Description
BridgePort produces a variety of international style ales, including IPA. BridgePort’s ales are naturally conditioned in the bottle, keg, or cask from which they are served - they’re never force carbonated. The natural conditioning creates ale that is smooth, naturally carbonated, and full of flavor.

Today, BridgePort Brewing Company is one of the top specialty brewers in the state of Oregon. As BridgePort Brewing grew in popularity, it also grew in its brewing capacity from its 600-barrel beginnings to over 100,000 barrels per year. Distribution has grown from Portland to 18 states, and the brewery’s emphasis on producing quality, innovative ales has provided it with an international following and numerous awards.

Bottle (muled in from Portland) Pours out a cloudy gold topped with a light tan head. Aroma of grapefruit citrus and light malt. Tast the same citrus. Not a lot of power for a Double IPA. Pretty thin for me.

(Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of gunhaver. Hazy amber golden with a small creamy beige head. Aroma of wood, caramel, alcohol and overripe fruit. Quite full-bodied with notes of fruit, caramel and wood. The finish is rather raw and unrefined bitter with quite some alcohol. 311008

Pours deep mildly hazy gold with copper core and near tan head. The aroma has a sting of alcohol before earthy and pine hoppiness take over with moderate layers of maltiness. The taste begins and ends with full citrus, grapefruit and pine hop bitterness that moves into mild sweet hop flavors, malt and some earthiness in the back. This is nice but not chewy and rich enough to being a IIPA. Very nice IPA though.

Bottled. A hazy deep red beer with a thin tan head. The aroma is very sweet with notes of alcohol, while the flavor is sweet malty with notes of alcohol and fruit, leading to a drywoody and alcoholic finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.
