courtesy of fishingnet. pours orange, off white head. Aroma picked up some bourbon like aroma, malt, caramel, sugar and spices. Taste, some bourbon, vanilla, caramel malts coupled with some citrus hops and a faint wood presence.Some fine tasting beer.

Ok NEVER mind the BEER. THIS has a 3D label, and i was luckily wearing my 3D glasses to the Pre DLD event ... Freaky label ... black ... roast malt nose ... light bitter roast ... quite meaty ... little dry roast ... ok bit just didnt hit that spot.

Bomber. Poured burnished copper with thick white head. Enormous citrus and hop aroma, with pine and floral notes. Big farking hop flavour, pine nut, sour lemon, naartjie and a malt fringe. Lingering, lasting hop finish, I mark it down a tiny bit, because there was an unpleasant oily tinge to the finish

Bottle Pours out a cloudy gold topped with a fair white head. Aroma a nice rich malt, some spice along with a belg yeast. Tast more of the spice and rich malts. A little pit fruit on it aswell. Not to bad.

Thanks to bitbucket for this one - pours a very hazy peach color - lightly tannic, white wine aroma, with mild oak, peaches, apples, vanilla - the flavor is not as impressive - dry, herbal, light notes of oak, spicy alcohol, peaches, vanilla - there is a very mild metallic character on the back that makes it less anjoyable - I would like to see the character of the barrel more present, perhaps a 50/50 blend, but this ain’t bad - certainly better than its current score.

Bottle. Poured veldheuning gold with thick white head. Full aroma of bananas, wine, and candied fruit. Spice, sweet malt and candy flavour. Lingering edge of the tongue malt and spice finish.

Medium brown color with a thin head. Toasty caramel malts, earthy, bread, and light fruit in the aroma. Light bodied with a higher carbonation level than I would like. Caramel malts, toasty, light doughy flavor, sweet fruit, and a little chocolate. Finish has a higher hop bite than I thought was coming with a dryer than expected feel to it. It’s not bad, it’s just not the type of brown I enjoy.

Bottle: Bright golden color with a finger of creamy white head. Aroma is fruity with light yeast and just a hint of spices. Sweet. Flavor is a subdued and rather sweet/malty blanket over faint Belgian spices. A decent yeast and estery finish. Barrel aged? Not that I can tell...

220z bottle picked up at a Bridgeport brewhouse in Portland. Thick and murky orange-brown color with a thin soapy head. Aroma is quite hoppy and sweet. Solid earthy hop characteristics, sort of an amped up APA. Lots of orange citrus notes. Big malt bill gives it a solid backbone, standing up the the hops. I let this one age for 6 months, I’d assume the freshness has mellowed out. Piny and sweet with that great fresh hop earthiness, this is a beer worth seeking out.
