Description
Craft beer is a passion, an obsession and a journey. This journey has opened our eyes (and taste buds) to some of the finest examples of beer this planet has to offer. Our tastes and expectations have forever changed, and so have our methods of enjoyment. From beer trades, to home brewing, to attending release parties and festivals one thing became clear… We rarely drink the same beer over and over again, and we love to share.

Pint can - clear gold, lively pour, thick and cream head - looks quite inviting, really - nose smells like rice, hay, and grass - creamy texture up front becomes watery through the middle and finish - flavors of rice, white grape, grain - finish has some peppery hops and lingering grain notes, along with a light acidity - tail end is all American light corn lager - it isn’t without it’s merits, but it’s not substantially better than the macro brands it clearly seeks be a craft alternative to, aside from how it looks.

Clear gold, ring of white head. Nose is herbal and limey, some grist and corn. Flavor follows. Lime and oily hop over grist. Slick, dry, easy drinker. 7 3 7 4 13

Mango, papaya and passion fruit. Certainly a dose of amaretto almond like flavour here. Pours golden orange with some lasting head and a little lacing. Caramel. Not sure I like this as much as some of their lower ABV West Coast entries. But it's still competent and capable--a lot more than you can say for most people who lean more hazy. Bittersweet end, some booze. Tap at brewery.

Big Nelson here. I get the yuzu they mention, and nectarine, as well as big grapefruit from the Nelson. Hazy yellow pour with pretty nice head and lacing. A little light mango as well. Light bitter end, a little hop citrus tang. Very nice. Tap at brewery.

Raw barley grain, snappy and bitter. Some hint of roast in this. Dark copper pour without much head. Full bodied here. Great example of an uncommon style. Quite a bitter finish, more than many maibocks I've had. Tap at brewery.

Straw and a hint of tin. Golden pour without much head retention. Snappy bitter end. A lot of body for such a light beer. More like a golden mild. Tap at brewery.

Super hazy bright glowing golden body with a very nice tan and off-white two centimetre tall head that stays afloat for a long time over the 90 per cent opaque raw honey body. Aroma of oranges, mangoes, papaya, light oats, some noticeable sugars and a strong alcohol scent, too. Full-bodied; Super rich oaty and wheat notes really bring out the pungency with oranges, mangoes and papaya quite strong as well, with a deep crisp and resinous, sweet & fruity flavour throughout that does show a good deal of alcohol, but also a lot of sugars. Aftertaste is rich across the board with a deep tropical fruitiness here, with a lot of sweetness, almost at the cloying level, with bunches of oats making this feel like it's full-bodied throughout, and a lot of alcohol notes that show close to 9 per cent, but perhaps hiding a per cent. Overall, a nice, but quite rich beer throughout that has a very nice fruitiness, a lot of oat maltiness and bunches of residual sugar - great to have local, but be ready for how rich it is! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from The Perfect Pour in Elk Ridge, Maryland on 25-October-2022 for US$6,75, canned on 09-February-2022 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 23-May-2023.

Mango and passion fruit. Murky yellow pour with decent head. Light sweet finish with some hops tang. I dont detect much of my beloved Nelson here but it's still a good beer. Nelson is just buried. Tap at brewery.

Pretty sharp crispness for rice. I feel like I get a sense of jasmine rice but I dunno. Golden pour with decent head. Light bitter end. Pleasant lager. Tap at brewery.
