(Tap) Clear mahogany with good beige head. Aroma is subtle candy with fruity notes. Light body with good carbonation. Flavour is sweet, gently toasty with some balancing tang. Overall a nice brown ale.

From a 330ml bottle on 1/2/2013. Pours a clear amber with a small head. the aroma is very curious for an amber ale - quite floral and fruity, with just a touch of toasty malt. The flavour is also curiously sweet and fruity, with lots of toffee malt in the background. The bitterness is subdued but works well in combination. A unusual amber which is very enjoyable.

The aroma of this beer takes a few whiffs to get used to before the flavours of bread, hay, mango and banana come through. It’s definitely less complex in the mouth, with a slight bready flavour giving way to a pleasant bitterness. The palate is pillowy and the length reasonable. The only jarring aspect is the slightly tinny aftertaste.

From a 330ml bottle on 17/7/2012. Pours a clearish amber with a big head. Has a very nice fruity aroma (apricot), with a little caramel and grass. Has a unusual flavour for a brown ale - again, primarily fruity with some light caramel, chocolate and toffee malt, and a moderate dash of hops. An enjoyable, different and quite subtle ale.

Pours dark brown with a large head.Nose shows tropical fruit, include lychee, papaya and melon notes, seemingly confectionery-like. Very sweet smelling. Underneath is caramel. Very nice!Similar flavours: lots of fruity, confectionery notes followed by some soft caramel, nutty and toasty notes. Incredibly drinkable. Simple sublime.Unfortunately the body seems a bit watery, but that’s a small fault. This is ridiculously good stuff! I can’t say I was expecting anything this awesome. This is certainly the beer I have enjoyed the most. Whenever I put the glass down I’d find myself instantly grabbing it again to take another sip...

Pours pale yellow with a large, quickly fading head.Nose shows grassy hops, soft fruit (lychee, pear?). Very little else.Flavours include the same light fruit along with some very soft sweet malt. Those hops a damn nice.Carbonation is very high but needs to be really, considering how sweet this is.Apart from that this was pretty good stuff, could be quite dangerous of a hot afternoon!

Bottle, about 10C. Clear dark brown with a pale beige head. Aroma of chocolate, toast, grapefruit, light tropical fruit. Silky mouthfeel. Taste is sweet with toasty caramel, chocolate, nuts. Some citrus flavours, but milder than suggested by the aroma. Tidy dryish finish with firm bitterness (a little more than I really wanted from this sort of thing). I guess this citrus/ tropical/ grassy combination is emerging as distinctively Australian and it works pretty well.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, brettanomyces, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, malt, bread, and a bit of brettanomyces, leading to a lightly tart finish.
