Bottle. Dark brown with a fluffy beige head. Aroma of plums, licorice and coffee. Lightish bodied, rather fizzy. Taste is sweet and fruity with some mocha and a drying finish. OK, but not really my sort of thing.

Bottle, 13C. Black with a tan head that’s 80% of the glass and gradually collapses to a fat coat. Mocha, grass, fudge, a few whiffs of alcohol. Silky mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. Sweet with mocha and dark berries, caramel. No real rumbling bass note. Oranges creep up as bitterness asserts itself. Slightly spicy at the end too. Cuddly, open flavours, nice balance.

Bottle, 9C. Amber with a white head. Earthy aroma with toffee, hazelnuts and light spices. Lightish body is a long way from watery. Taste has slight sweetness - a little chocolate, burnt toffee - and then straight on to the dry spicy finish. Good dust cutter that’s well put together.

Bottle, 10C. Dark copper with an inch of beige head that lasts pretty well. Grapefruit and kumquat aroma with some spices and light bread. Creamy mouthfeel. Moderately sweet with singed toffee, plenty of citrus flavours, some stone fruit. Bitter finish is dry and peppery with some pine. They say double IPA, but it’s pretty crisp and refreshing. I like the way there’s some interest in the malt side of things but there’s no heaviness or residual sweetness to it.

Bottle. Hazy gold with a white head. Aroma of nectarines and caramel, a tiny bit of pine. Light-bodied with slight creaminess. Moderately sweet with caramel, apples, oranges, touches of stone fruit. Dry finish with balancing bitterness. Softly-spoken but quite refined.
