From a 330ml bottle on 10/7/2017. Pours near black with little in the way of head. The nose is light chocolate, with a touch of vanilla and a whiff of booze. In the mouth, there’s oodles of dark and milk chocolate, balanced beautifully against a firmish roasty bitterness. I don’t get much vanilla in the flavour, but it’s just damned tasty. Slightly syrupy with soft carbonation. Rich, smooth, complex and intense, whilst remaining eminently drinkable. Lovely stuff.

From a 330ml bottle on 4/6/2017 (shared by Butz, with thanks). Pours a slightly cloudy golden with a big foamy head. Has quite a pronounced aroma of caramel and fruity hops. The flavour is dominated by sweet stone fruit (apricot, peach), with a decent balancing hop finish. Not much malt to speak of - more a fruity IPA. Fulliish body, with moderate carbonation. Not really US style, but quite solid.

(Bottle) Pours black with ruby hints and a big dense tan head. Wonderful complex aroma - port, burnt toast, orange hints. Medium body, with good carbonation. Taste is a very nice balance of dark roast malts and fruity bitter hops. There’s coffee, dark chocolate and burnt toast balanced by raisins, and citrus. There’s a pleasant bitterness in the finish. Very nice - complex and interesting whilst being very drinkable.
