Pours a crystal clear amber with nice off white head. The aroma is rich roasted malts, mild piney to grapefruit hops and sweet malts. All well melded and inviting. I also get some grainy malts too. The taste begins with mild pine to grapefruit hop bitterness followed by chewy caramelized malts and some sweeter maltiness. Roasty malts seem to build some toward the finish. Nice offering.

Beautiful amber color. Very nice hoppy aroma, resiny, strong. Good body structure, but less sweet than expected, then suddenly the hop resins kick in and lead to a long final. Very hopped IPA (I would like it sweeter).

12 oz. bottle. Smell under the cap is more malty than hoppy, bit of a surprise there. But hops come out when I pour into a shaker, bitter and piney. Older copper penny color with a spongy head. Hops are more upfront in the taste, almost a scorcher of bitterness. Makes me think of the Bell’s Hop Smash I had last night, though I’m sure it’s nowhere near that many IBUs. Quite bitter, maybe to the detriment of hop character, a bit earthy, with some orange rind peeping out at the end. Malt is just slightly sticky, the kind I always fall back on "caramel" to describe. But the only room for possible fault comes in the choice of how the hops are presented. May be too crude for some, but I find myself liking it. This was from a variety 12-pack, I think $15 in Kenosha, meaning this is probably a bargain for a good IPA at its home state.

12 oz. bottle. Welcome to Montana beers, me! But, um, doesn’t the billy goat go on the doppelbock labels, guys? Anyway… Pours a light brown body with a big rocky head. Nice smell of northwestern hops, at least that’s what I thought til I read the description here. A touch of grapefruit and pine, y’know? Taste brings only a slightly bigger smack of those hops. Matls are a good caramel/crystal type, but its mouthfeel is a little light to support this nice hop load. Still a nice product from a regional brewer with pretensions of going big. And they just might.

Aroma is dark, bready malt, with barely detectable hop. Mahogany color with an off-white head that did a bit of lacing. Near medium in body with creamy carbonation. Touch of apricot! Dark roasted caramel, nutty, and apricot flavor and aroma. Lots of malt, but not all that sweet. The finish is somewhat dry after the sweetness drains away, leaving roasted malt remnants, still a bit of apricot, and maybe that’s floral hop? A little bitter does seem to build, but British hops? Notorious flowery things. This is a little "brown", a bit rough, but the flavors make it a fairly decent drink. Glad I bought it.

It is always fun to try a new beer no one else has had, but this is crappy. Light wheat in the aroma and the flavor with chemicals and dirt. Almost undrinkable.

Clear pale-amber, small off-white head, fed by good carbonation. Honey, grapes and just a whiff of hops. Unfortunately, I get a whiff of coriander as well. The honey, though unmistakable, seems rather fleeting. Coriander, carrots or carrotleaves, and in the taste, I get little honey - the bees must have pollinated on corianderflowers, what? The greenery on top of carrots is even more prominent. Rather light, end slickness, slick palate. It’s got a fleeting sweetness, but a heavy load of spicyness and greenery.

12 oz. bottle from Liquid Solutions. Light aroma of malt and floral or citrus hop. Golden color with a white head that flattened fast. Medium in body, with moderate carbonation. The flavor is pale malt or bread, covered well by floral and citrus hop. Feels excellent in the mouth, and the finish is dry with a satisfying amount of bitter. Wouldn’t hesitate to have another.

Bottle. Fruity aroma with some traces of pine and hops. Malt sweetness with much hoppiness like a good IPA. Lingering hop finish with a bit of metal for which a demerit. Overall a drinkeable IPA.
