Cask-conditioned at the Cayo Arms, Cardiff 16/05/10 as "Hansonโs Classic Mild". Reddish brown with a slight, off-white head. Raisins, apples and caramel, with a light, sweet finish. Instantly forgettable.

Can 50 cl. Pours a clear dark amber with a dense off-white head leaving laces. Lightly nutty nose. Light body, low in carbonation, nuts and roasted malt with a metallic edge. Very subdued bitterness. Not much of a Mild. 210110

Cask-conditioned at the Knights Templar (JDW), Chancery Lane 9/04/10. Amber in colour with a decent, off-white head. A well balanced mix of bready malts and grassy hops, with a decent bitter finish. Good.

Cask handpull at Thomas Ingoldsby, JDW, Canterbury. Gold amber colour with thin beige head. Decent bitter with biscuit malt. Actually this I think is rather good. A bitter with good hops and enough of a malt base. But the bitterness on the finish is really good. Really arrested me, very drying on finish, just surprisingly good.

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Amber with a thin cream head; caramel aroma; sweet caramel malt flavour; short, rough, bitter finish. An unexceptional Yorkshire-style bitter.

Aroma is light moderate malty, grain, caramel, malt extract. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light bitter with a average duration.
