Description
We're the Little Bang Brewing Company, straight from the suburbs of Adelaide. We are Fil and Ryan, our families and our pretty awesome Little Bang crew. We used to make video games for a living, we were nerds for games. We still are, really, but now we make beer.

We're much, much bigger nerds about beer. We talk about it, argue about it, dream about it and read about it. A lot. In 2013 we started collecting equipment, materials and tools, and over the next 18 months we designed and built a brewery in Fil's garage. It was crowded.

We immediately run into space and not being able to produce enough beer to meet demand problems so at the end of 2015 we moved into bigger premises in Stepney where we could fit in more fermentors and open up a cellar door.

Once again running out of space and still not being able to meet demand we move again into even bigger premises at Henry Street, Stepney where punters can pay us a visit and enjoy a beer from our 21 taps of Little Bang and guest beers, wine or food from our very own kitchen!

(Can) Pours hazy golden with no head. Subtle aroma, mainly lime cordial. Light body with bright almost fizzy carbonation. Taste is sour, at the still enjoyable end of really quite sour. It’s a citric sourness with the dominant taste being lime - cordial rather than fresh. There are some hints of earthiness, but pretty much the taste is limey sourness. A pleasant sour.

(Can) Pours hazy golden with tiny white head. Good aroma of pine and citrus. Light body with good carbonation. Good taste. Refreshing and fruity start with citrus and passionfruit, then some hints of biscuit malt. There’s also notes of dank hops throughout and some very gentle bitterness in the finish. Very drinkable.

(Can - 2023 version is 6.2%) Pours clear red brown with tan head. Nice aroma of pine with toffee hints. Medium body with plenty of good carbonation. Unusual and very enjoyable taste. There’s plenty of hops giving bitterness and dankness, and a little tartness at the start. This is nicely partially balanced with toffee malt. Very enjoyable and different.

From a 375ml can on 29/7/2023. Pours the deepest brown with pretty much no head. Has a light chocolate nose. Tastes of dark chocolate with a pronounced blueberry flavour, with perhaps very light hints of maple and hazelnut at the back. Not super sweet, and has a moderate sharpish bitterness. Silky mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. A really solid, if slightly restrained, dessert stout.

Blik thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een troebel oranje bruin bier met een volle schuimkraag. Het heeft een hoppige geur. De smaak is vol fruitig, zacht zoet, hoppig en bitter.

From a 375ml can on 9/3/2023. Pours the deepest brown with a medium light tan head. Has a pleasant rich choc caramel nose. Tastes of dark chocolate, caramel, toffee and brown sugar up front and is medium sweet, but this is met by a quite sharp, roasty, resiny, lingering bitterness with some warming booze at the back. Has a slick mouthfeel with softish carbonation. Interesting and complex, though not that dessertish or fudgey. A nice big sipper.

(Can) Pours black with large caramel coloured head. Lovely rich aroma of toffee, chocolate, dark roast grains, notes of peanut. Excellent mouthfeel. Full bodied, smooth, slightly sticky, with soft carbonation. The taste is rich, complex and well balanced. There’s a dark toffee sweetness at the start and a solid bitterness steadily develops to balance it, leaving a burnt sugar note that encourages another sip. There’s some tangy berry and dried fruit notes at the start, and dark chocolate in the middle, and some booze towards the end. Really enjoyable.
