355ml can into shaker. From Porter's Liquor, Bexley. Cloudy amber beer with a nice crown of foam on top. High fine carbonation. Peppery nose, touches of caramel and 'Juicy Fruit'. Very light carbonation in the mouth, easy drinking. Fruity bitter finish. Competent but uninspiring.

Can. Dark brown with a cm of beige head. Aroma of mild, earthy roast and some caramel, from whence fairly subtle vanilla emerges. The vanilla is rather less subtle upon a taste though and there's also quite punchy peppery bitterness. Carbonation is a bit high for this sort of thing; I liked it better after a swirl or two. Good drop from a brewery becoming more ambitious.

Can. Murky dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of moderate roast, pine, some oranges, chicory. Dryish. Some chocolate and nuts as well in the taste. Quite light bodied. A little mealy towards a modestly bitter finish. Quaffable with some character.

330ml can after driving back from France. Pours dark brown, thin off-white head. Strong pine, coffee and amber malt aroma. Quite pokey and hoppy to taste with a herbal cola side. Nicely flavoursome for a relatively light bodied IPA. Seems more like a hoppy schwarzbier.

330ml can from National Brewery Centre. Clear pale gold, moderate white head. Light faint lemon sweetness on the nose. Oily palate with a very modest hop presence. Not a lot going on but an ok crisp quencher for the hot weather.

330ml can from National Brewery Centre, Burton on Trent. Misty gold, white froth atop. Faint fruity glipmses on the nose. Taste presents a simplistic, very lightly hopped pale.. bland and forgettable.
