Brick Kane Bommie XPA 5%
Matte gold with soapy off-white foam and a fruit hop bouquet. Light bodied verging on watery. A bit long in the tooth but ok.

Tap pint at Melbourne Airport. Pours clear pale gold with white foam. Vague bread, citrus, grass on the aroma. Taste: light sweet and bitter. Light body with moderate carbonation. Hardly any aroma, little in the way of taste, no body. Not a lot to recommend tbh

Can. Cloudy pale orange with an inch of white head. Aroma is wheaty with citrus and berry bubblegum. Light bodied, some hefe softness. Tangy wheat with some fruity hops until they are rather overtaken by cloves and coriander at the end. Minimal bitterness.

Crystal clear amber beer with a thin white head. Light carbonation. Lightly roasted rice nose, a touch of grain. Nice lacing, flat mouthfeel, medium body. Super easy drinking. Slightly sour finish, a little lingering tin. Fills the brief as a Japanese Lager.

Can. Cloudy pale yellowish orange with a goon inch of white head. Aroma of lemon pudding, crackers, light spices. Upon a taste perhaps there's a touch of lime too. Dryish, spritzy. Getting towards thin. Modest bitterness. A good dustcutter.

Can from liquor store in Apollo Bay. Nice hoppy aroma of a hopped pale ale. Taste is a little confused between the Sigtuna style hop and the lighter fruity ones.

Very Spinal Tap, that blurb. Can. Black with a fat coat of tan head that doesn't last long. Aroma of mocha, heavy roast, spiced fudge, wood. 7+ The vanilla - along with loads of chocolate emerges upon a taste. Very sweet but the wood and roast just about keep it in check. No overt booze. I would have welcomed a bit more bitterness but this is very nice stuff.
