Taster at the COS brewpub. Clear, green color, with a thin ring. Lime, green apple, and white sugar. Sweet and sugary, with a sharp, flat acidity. Light, sharp, and clean. Simple and sharp. Not bad.

Bottle to English pint glass.
Appearance: copper color with a finger and a quarter of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: piney to citrusy with orange peel and clean malts
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a fine bittersweet quality; finishes somewhat piney and malty
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; some smoothness along the tongue but with a note of dryness and some low hop bitterness assertiveness
Overall: for the most most part, it's a serviceable AIPA I could come back to.

Bottle to tulip.
Appearance: copper color with a quarter finger of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: lemon, sly sweet wheat, banana sweetness, orange sweetness, muted woody spice, some sweet grassy notes
Flavor: wraps up the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet tone while underscored by a light spice; finishes sweet wheaty and banana-like with some orange pulpy sweetness
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; subtle smoothness, touch of dry spice bouncing along on the tongue
Overall: while it came across fairly nice, I didn't really see this as a true Belgian witbier. it might not be bad to return once the weather gets warmer.
