Sample at Kurtβs 49th birthday party. Blackish pour with a medium tan head that diminishes steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of coffee, oak and chocolate. Full-bodied with an oaky character and notes of bourbon, dark chocolate and malt. The finish is roasty and malty with a midly bitter coffee aftertaste. Above average overall.

WAY too carbonated. Spicey like asparagus. too dark for a belgian white, the flavors dont mesh well at all. more vegetable flavor than the traditional orange or coriandor. not great.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Doodler. Pours an opaque pitch black with a tiny beige head. Nose is dominated by heavy booze and tarish roast. Rich, rich body, lowish carbonation, sweet roast, dark dried fruits and quite some roast. Violent boozy finish. Serious stuff indeed but very enjoyable. 030612

Cloudy amber beer. Semi dry palate. Very odd flavour. Like a dry spicy tripel but with an odd tangy sweetness. Finishes dry and quite warming. Doesnβt hang together for me.

750mL bottle, pours black with as small tan head. Aroma of charred roasted malts, lots of burnt caramel, and bittersweet chocolate. Flavour of burnt caramel, very roasted malt, bittersweet chocolate, liqueur, dark fruits, and a slight alcohol burn on the finish, but well-hidden for 12%. Full-bodied, creamy and silky. Delicious impy.

Bottle shared during RBWG 2012. Pours a dark brown with medium beige head. The aroma is chocolate and roast. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet chocolate roast with a nice smokey finish. A good Imperial stout from Voodoo.
