Can in Hongkong. Malty-sweetish, not too deep. Hints of grain, smooth-sweetish. No bitterness. Boring but not too bad.

Can in HK as Black Beer Stout. Neutral sweetish beginning. Dry malty, no depth. Malty-watery, hints of sweetness, strange with no bitterness.

Can from Homeplus. Queen’s Ale 5.4% Extra Bitter Type served in a pint glass. It pours an orange gold with a soapy head of beige foam. The nose is pretty decent a sharp fruitiness mixed with a biscuity caramel sweetness. Fairly soft mouthfeel on a full body. The taste is a bit too sweet for me but it’s got some one dimensional hoppiness, sweet caramel graham biscuits and a somewhat bitter almost metallic finish. Boring but OK. I think I like this more than the blond, it’s more my speed.

Queen’s Ale Blonde Type 5.4% pouring a deep copper gold with a fizzy head that vanished fast but did leave a bit of lacing behind. In a tulip the nose is actually fruity floral caramel, mild but decent enough and a pleasant surprise. A zesty med-full mouthfeel. The taste is sweet, a bit fruity and has some caramel hiding behind an earthy dirt like taste. Not sure what happened here, it’s not bad more like the taste is hiding in an underground cellar peeking out at you. Disappointing after the nice aroma, it just comes off as a lobotomized ale. OK I guess, once it warms up it melds better giving us a fruity caramel flavor.

33 cl. bottle @ home, gift from my parents. Pale yellow with a thin white head. Grainy aroma, slightly metallic taste. what more to say? another industrial pale lager, its sole uniqueness to me is that it was my first South Korean beer.

11.13 oz bottle. Aroma is earthy, chocolate, wet river rock, licorice, bready. Pours dark brown with a collapsing beige head that falls into a ring of big-bubbly foam. Taste is sweet, bready, licorice, slightly oxidized. Body is thin, watery. Not too bad, really.
