Share of a bottle. Thanks, Timmy! Dark brown pour, with a small, tan head. The aroma is weak chocolate, and a note or cough syrup - maybe grape or cherry. Very sweet flavor, with no hop bitterness. Light body, watery, and weak. Overall, this is a poor attempt at a stout. Needs a better malt profile, and any hop profile at all.

Can at Ungstrup’s. Pours clear pale golden with small white head. Clear aroma of hops and yeast. Watery mouthfeel. Slightly bitter aroma of hops with subtle notes of yeast, otherwise nothing. Sourish aftertaste. Nothing to write home about but drinkable.

Can. A light yellow beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of straw and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of brewing cereal and straw, leading to a dry finish. The body is light. Thanks theis for sharing.

33 cL bottle. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is mild metallic and cornish. Toasted malty, cornish and light bitter. Grassy and toasted cornish finish.

Pale golden coloured body with a hint of a white head. Aroma of rice, corn, pale malt and a big metallic note. Light-bodied; Sharp rice and light malt flavour with a lot of metal, earth and cereal flavours and nothing too pleasing. Aftertaste has a little alcohol, the slightest hint of citrus and more of the funky malt. Overall, a pretty bad offering, but pairs well with spicy food here - however, just drink the soju and pass this one up! I sampled this 33 cL can purchased at GS25 in Myeongdong, Seoul, Korea on 06-April-2012 for 1,200Won.

Bottle of Black Beer Stout Lager from emart in Seoul. Just 1040 won, it pours a dark brown with a tan head. It has a strong roast malt coffee-ish aroma but the flavor is mostly lager hay/grass followed by a bit of caramel & roast dark malt flavor. It is ok but more of a dark lager. It is by no means a stout, very grassy & a twist top which I hadn’t seen in awhile.

Bottle at 7 Bar in Seoul. It poured your basic boring clear gold. It has a skunky grass aroma with a rough grassy hay flavor. It was kind of sour, worse than Cass. Not pleasant.

Backlog 2007. Roasty, toast, coffee, slight hint of citrus and herbs, dough, opaque dark brown, tiny head that does stick, medium sweet, toasted malt, hints of coffee and chocolate, light sourness, surprisingly light-bodied, creamy, sweetbitter finish, nice beer, kinda light version stout.
