Description
Evil Twin Brewing was started up “nomadically” in 2010 by Jeppe Jarnit- Bjergso. In 2012, Jeppe and his family decided to make New York City their home and join the burgeoning local beer scene. In 2016, Jeppe was approached with the opportunity to finally root his ideas & dreams and Evil Twin Brewing NYC was born.
At Evil Twin Brewing NYC we wanted to expand upon the traditions of innovation & further it with the intimacy of a local neighborhood microbrewery. With more control over our recipes, we are able to experiment on new flavors while perfecting the classics.
Collaboration is a huge part of Evil Twin Brewing NYC & we are excited to be able to host & collaborate with all the amazing brewers in NYC and throughout the world within our very own home base! We strive to be a community space for all of Ridgewood and Queens and our goal is that our brewery and taproom becomes a place for locals and beer tourists alike.
Our Queens brewery has been a long time coming & we are thrilled to have a home where our families, friends, and neighbors have a place to share our love for great beer, food & culture with the Ridgewood community, NYC, & the world!

Aromas are dry grain, slightly old citrus and malt. Flavors are similar to but much better than nose. Citrus comes out more as does malty sweet. Full body and good carbonation. A little less sweet, fresher and it would be killer. Update: couldn't finish it drain pour.

Romans are both slightly old resin and fruit. Flavors are mainly citrus with some decayed pineapple. Excellent carbonation. Doesn't quite work.

Malmö March tasting at Palace Hall 21/03/2026 - dark sweet chocolate malty prominence with a nicely balanced peppermint edge, after eight mints, some dark caramel and cocoa nibs, mint infused dark malty close.

Taste is rich chocolate, roast malt, earthy nutty tones, coffee, brownie, caramel, coconut, hint of sweet maple, dark cocoa-rich chocolate. Lots of toasty coconut. Cakey finish.

Bright citrus fruity forward with some grapefruit and lime notes, a touch of melon and passion fruit, grass, has a nice drying spiky rindy bitter citrus edge, soft sweet pale malts, dry bitter hoppy into the finish. Solid tasty pale.

16oz can from Tavour. Near black pour thick beige head slowly retreats. Nice dark roast aroma, burnt toast. Taste brings light accents of chocolate and cola, roasty, on the dry side.

Aromas are mainly raspberry with some blackberry, malt and vanilla. Flavors are similar to nose with some odd bitter that doesn't fit in. A little more tart than sweet. I don't find any sign of coconut. Full-bodied and good carbonation.

16 oz can. Aroma is catty, piney, overripe tropical fruit, bready, tangerine, sex. Pours murky orange-ish with a one+ finger off-white head with great retention. Taste has a light building to moderate pithy bitterness backed by plenty of malt sweetness. Good, but would be better if the sweetness was dialed back.

Lots going on with the aromas - melons, stone fruit, tropical fruit, malt and a bit of citrus. Flavors are similar to nose. Great balance between bitter, sweet and carbonation. Party is a little thin. Add in a touch of floral. Everything fades in the finish. Pretty good for a lightweight IPA.
