More wood than in any other in the series or really than most other foeder-aged lagers I've had. Which isn't a bad thing, though here it does dry out the texture considerably. Chocolatey, though missing much in the way of hop. Clean, crisp, though not very much mineral. Really kind of just a lot of chocolate and foeder.

16oz can from Tavour. Hazy golden pour with a lasting fluffy white head, spotty lacing. Citrusy aroma with light onion notes. Taste is grapefruit peel pineapple, grassy, zesty. Thick mouthfeel.

16 oz can. Aroma is peachy, vanilla, alcohol. Pours hazy orange with a one finger off-white head that settles into a ring after a minute. Taste is moderately sour (7/10) and fairly sweet with flavors of peach and vanilla.

Hazy orange colour and steady white head. Tropical fruity apricot nose. Medium-bodied. Semi-sweet tropical fruity flavour with some citrusy notes. Mellow, good drinkability.

16oz can from Tavour. Hazy golden pour, small head fades away, spotty lacing. Fruity aroma mango guava papaye, befitting Marlon's headdress. Taste is tropical ripe fruit, sweet, with a little bit of zip at the finish. Very very tropical....

Smells phenomenal! Right up there with the best. Rich honey and long, toasted sourdough with plentiful, but not overdone/crude hops adding bright floral and dried herb character to balance nicely. Rich and malty but doesn't smell overly sweet/sugary. Crisp and with good minerality on the end.
Rich and quite bready, leaning in to the toasted sourdough character with a whole hell of a lot of hops and quite a large bittering charge. Not gonna mistake this one for a Tuborg, even if it's their yeast. Which, interestingly enough, there isn't much expressive yeast character here and the beer leans heavily on the malt and hops for character. But probably no surprise that Tuborg yeast isn't interesting/exciting. Mild-to-moderate oak, somewhat outdone by the big hoppiness. Bright herbs and floral notes with a deep, malty texture, drying out with the oak and bready malt. Maybe a bit forceful at points; hard to imagine Hersbrucker being so, but they've just loaded this thing to the brim with hops. Dripping with quality, though and still very, very drinkable and immensely clean and flavorful.
