Description
Evil Twin Brewing was started up “nomadically” in 2010 by Jeppe Jarnit- Bjergso. In 2012, Jeppe and his family decided to make New York City their home and join the burgeoning local beer scene. In 2016, Jeppe was approached with the opportunity to finally root his ideas & dreams and Evil Twin Brewing NYC was born.
At Evil Twin Brewing NYC we wanted to expand upon the traditions of innovation & further it with the intimacy of a local neighborhood microbrewery. With more control over our recipes, we are able to experiment on new flavors while perfecting the classics.
Collaboration is a huge part of Evil Twin Brewing NYC & we are excited to be able to host & collaborate with all the amazing brewers in NYC and throughout the world within our very own home base! We strive to be a community space for all of Ridgewood and Queens and our goal is that our brewery and taproom becomes a place for locals and beer tourists alike.
Our Queens brewery has been a long time coming & we are thrilled to have a home where our families, friends, and neighbors have a place to share our love for great beer, food & culture with the Ridgewood community, NYC, & the world!

While pouring out of the can the liquid is lavender but in the glass it's a purplish tinged amber. Interesting aromas of malt, tree bark and some other odd thing that I can't identify but must be the purple rice. Flavors are somewhat similar to nose but losing the tree bark. More sweet than bitter with okay carbonation. More body than other rice lagers. Fun novelty thing to try once but I wouldn't be looking for another.

16 oz can. Aroma starts out dank and oniony before disappearing and being replaced by notes of sweet bready malt, cantaloupe, kiwi, and chayote. Pours hazy dark yellow-orange with a one finger cream-white head with good retention. Taste is lightly bitter backed by significant candy malt sweetness.

16 oz can. Aroma is berries, cinnamon, graham crackers, vanilla. Pours opaque purple with a one finger pinkish-purple head that settles into a ring after a minute. Taste is highly sour (9/10) and fairly sweet with flavors of the adjuncts and a light sense of leafy hop flavor, but no real bitterness. If this started out as an IPA, it’s completely buried underneath the sourness and adjuncts. Tastes good as a smoothie sour, though.

16 oz can. Aroma is light grapefruit and pine, alcohol. Pours murky yellow-orange with a one finger cream-white head that settles into a skiff of foam after a minute. Taste is moderately bitter and pretty sweet with vague fruity hop flavors.

Burk ihop med han P.N. ni vet!
Doftar svagt av malt. Smaken ja då har vi en typisk english barley wine. Maltiga smaker med en torr avslutning. Alltför torr. Visst balanserad men det räcker tyvärr inte för högre betyg

Aromas are malt, pine resin and a little citrus. Flavors are similar to nose plus some spoiled fruit. More bitter than sweet with good carbonation and full body. Could have been a lot better.

Keg at Liquid Dreams 26. Hazy palw gold. Thin foamy translucent white head. Aroma is somewhat low key - stray citrus and sweet porridge. Flavourwise it gains strength. Sour with a bitter streak. I guess that's the hop burn what bros talk about. Gains sweetness into the finish. Light. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Erm.. doesn't actually do an awful lot for me.

Aromas are malt, light resin hops and toast. Flavors are somewhat similar to noise but add in massive citrus. Very well balanced bitter, sweet and carbonation. Still, it's a pale ale.
