20/12/2011 75cl bottle @ home - BB: 31/12/13 (2011-722) Thanks to Bernard for sharing the bottle!
Little cloudy pale beige to yellow beer, white small head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very grainy, oats, some flowers, bit fruity, coriander. MF: good carbon, thin body. Taste: malts, bit sweet, some honey and spices, slightly bitter. Aftertaste: spices, nutmeg, little bitter. It misses the wheat tartness of a good witbier.

Bottle at Nate’s Birthday Bash, thanks to EdKing. It pours hazy golden yellow, with a fluffy white head. The nose is spice, bread and yeast. The taste is sweet orange pith, dough, spice, yeast, earth and some alcohol warmth. Medium body, lively carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Ok, but doesn’t do much for me.

Nate2Gs Birthday Bash at Kernel. Cheers to Ed King for this one. Hazy gold beer, good off white head. Light palate - a little soft and a little dry. Sweetish caramel malt. Just a bare trace of hops. Soft froth finish. Ok if somewhat one dimensional.

Bottle at Nate’s Massive Kernel Birthday Piss-Up. Pours a lightly cloudy gold with a white head. Malty aroma. Very sweet flavor, lots of malt. Notes of caramel, sugar, doughy bread. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Lightly warming finish, more sugar, bread, honey and caramel. Very sweet but fun stuff.

A deep dark brown stout with a thick frothy brown head. In aroma, a herbaceous chocolate, with warming alcohol, peaty, a bit strange. In mouth, a light peaty chocolate with a nice smoky attack, burned wood, herbal, not bad. Bottle from Paris, bought in May 2011. Shared with probstk, Aug. 21 2011.

Shared 750 ml corked and wired bottle, as Christophe Noyon Bière Noire de Slack, from Voldby Købmandsgård, Denmark. ABV 5.4%. Black colour, decent beige head. Dry roasty and ashy aroma. Dry, moderately roasty and slightly ashy flavour. The hops are too moderate, otherwise a decent dry stout. .
