October ‘09 O-Town Throwdown. Cheers to Cheeseman for this one. Pours hazy brown, beige head. Aroma and flavor, cranberry, light tart mouthfeel. Interesting lambic, cranberry had a unique tartness though the actual fruit remained light. Medium carbonation.

September 2009 Beer of the Month Club , 10/25/09
Aroma: The nose is somewhat mild, but has some interesting components, some nuts, fruit, brown sugar, bread/biscuit.
Appearance: This one pours a nice hazy brownish color, minimal head, and just a really small amount of light, spotty lace.
Flavor: The taste is relatively similar to the smell, but without the fruitiness. It's basically nutty and biscuit malts, and fairly thin.
Palate: The body is a bit lighter then I was expecting, and the mouthfeel is fairly thin (disappointingly so) and a touch watery.
Overall Impression: While this isn't a bad beer, it certainly could have been better. Bad news for this one is I just polished off a really nice, complex beer previously. Anyway, I like that they attempted this style, as the Beer of the Month Club generally sends me less interesting styles. While we are here, the commercial description is missing, so I'll add that too.
**Just submitted a Photo for this one as well, as it was missing one.

This one came in my beer club. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured an orange-caramel color with a medium sized orange-cream head. The aroma was faintly malty, lightly fruity and a touch yeasty. The flavor was dry, bitter and nutty with moderate fruity and floral hops and a touch of caramel. The finish was short, tangy and fruity. Medium body. Ok.

Pours deep gold into a shaker. White head pancakes and recedes leaving spider lacing. Sweet caramel malt and saaz hop aromas. Crisp with upfront caramel turning astringent in the lasting metallic and pepper hop finish.

Bottle at MesandSim’s tasting Aug 09. Black, tan head. Liquorice on aroma and in flavour. Over carbonated so difficult to drink and even trying to de-gas it didn’t make a huge difference. A little thin in the mouthfeel. Some coffee flavour on the swallow. Not great and a bit thin overall.
