Can from Beer Republic webshop Berkel-Enschot Netherlands and consumed at home Saturday 9th November 2024 listening to The Cure - Songs of a Lost World. Pours warm gold edging towards orange, hazy with a large white head. Pineapple is quite apparent at first on the nose and in the mouth but after a while a more citrus led flavour comes through. Nice mouthfeel, crisp bite, I like it.

Optisch Amber, wenig Perlung. Super fruchtige Nase, hopfig, harzig, Pinien. Im Trunk ebenso deutlich, trocken Pinienwälder, mittig derb harzig, hinten trocken, schönes Ding.

Can. Yellowish golden colour with a small foamy white head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is citrus, some mild tartness with some slight salty tones as well. Flavour is tart citrus with some salty tones as well as some slight zest to it. Very refreshing.

On tap at Ballast Point - Miramar, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of esters, with gin barrels, some white wine barrels, and some perfumey notes. Flavour is rather jumbled and chaotic, with notes of gin barrels, estery notes, and a touch of white wine. Ultimately, this doesn't work, probably because the base beers aren't particularly honed in. Okay.

On tap at Ballast Point - Miramar, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a small tan head. Aroma has plenty of vanilla, bourbon barrels, and maybe a hint of the mint, but I have to strain for it. Flavour is dominated by the vanilla and bourbon barrels, with a fairly soft malt mouthfeel. I don't detect the mint at all. Not the most intense or thick base but the beer is very nice. Good barrels and vanillin character. Very good.

On tap at Ballast Point - Miramar, pours a deep dark mahogany brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out cinnamon upfront, and the rest is less distinct — big malts, maybe some earthiness from the rye whiskey. Flavour is loaded with cinnamon and rye whiskey barrels upfront, with a smooth malt base, light sweetness, and light earthiness.

On tap at Ballast Point - Miramar, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma reveals wonderfully rich bourbon barrels, dark dried fruits, and toasted caramel. Flavour is rich and complex, with a remarkable bourbon barrel character, toasted caramel, bready malt, some vanillin, and fermented out brown sugar. Wonderful bourbon character to accentuate the excellent base without being very sweet at all. Wonderful.

On tap at Ballast Point - Miramar, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma has plenty of perfumey red wine barrels upfront, toasted caramel, some dark dried fruits, and bready malt. Flavour has been taken over by the perfumey red wine barrels; there's light tartness from the wine, good sturdy malt base, and a somewhat boozy presence. The wine has taken this over.

On tap at Ballast Point - Miramar, pours a deep dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is rich, with big bourbon barrel notes, plenty of vanillin, and molasses. Flavour is rich and smooth, with plenty of vanillin from the base beer, opened up by the bourbon barrels, and a moderately sweet malt base. Nice barrel aging, with a very smooth, silky mouthfeel. Excellent.

On tap at Ballast Point - Miramar, pours a clear amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of smoked meat, a touch of campfire, and bready malt. Flavour is nicely smoky, with a big, dry malt base, campfire smoke, and dry toasted caramel. Really nice smoky base. Excellent.
