Blond colour. Mellow aroma, some wildflower honey, light wax, light orange blossom. Very sweet and syrupy, barely balanced by some alcohol warmth; the flavour is mellow, honeyish, with light fruity esters, a bit floral, but not very deep.

Bottle - Light backing spice and honey. Pale yellow. Really light honey and sweetness with a touch of booze. If mead could be sessionable and light, this would be a good example.

Bottle, thanks, Matt! Light gold. Piney, sticky aroma with a bit floral, woody note. Some spicy notes. So I'm liking this aroma. On the palate, this is exceptionally sweet, with a floral note. Some of the spice still shows through in the finish, but the woodier notes have dropped out in favour of a somewhat blander sweetness. Still nice mead, though, one that would be a top mead where I'm from.

180mL bottle, pours a clear pale yellow blonde, no head. Nose is unusual for a mead, with a salty, smoked meat character, probably from the Sacch Trois, with subdued honey. Flavour is intensely and sharply sweet, with lots of honey nectar, sharp spiciness, and smoked, salty, funky meat. I'm not sure I'm convinced that this works. Cloyingly sweet and bizarrely funky. Strange.

Bottle sample at Mead Museum, pours a clear reddish pink. Aroma reveals plenty of tart currants, with subdued honey. Flavour is rather tart, with a nice red currant character, followed by medium sweet honey, and a bit of booze. Very light on the palate, but it works. Not bad.
