Tap at Komachi. Pretty, cloudy, deep golden color with a low, thick head. Estery nose, malts, banana, lemon, orange, honey. A bit like a hopfen weisse with all those esters. Flavor is nicely hopps and spicy, apricots, oranges, banana. Rich and malts, light sweetness, with a dry, bitter, spicy, peppery finish. Esters are a bit weird for the style, but very good.

Bottle into a tulip showing moderately filtered pale amber with half a finger of tanned brown foam. The nose shows moderately intense notes of very sweet malts. The palate is medium bodied and lightly carbonated. Very sweet malts (cloying) throughout with very light malts in the background. Mild alcoholic spiciness and a light out of place hoppy bitterness on the finish.

Bottle into a teku showing well filtered amber-brown and barely any carbonation. The nose shows moderately intense tart notes of apple vinegar and light notes of malts. The palate is well carbonated and light bodied. Lightly tart with with very light flavors of grainy malt and moderately intense bitterness on the finish that seems out of place.

Bottle shared in Hackney - many thanks to TimE for the trade. Pours unclear ruby-brown with a foamy, tan head. The aroma holds toffee, ripe orange, brown bread. Medium sweet flavour with lots of toffee, dried fruits, dates and figs, no bitterness. Medium to full bodied, oily, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, sticky sweet, lots of gooey toffee, more dates and figs. Quite sweet but lots of fun.

Very hazy glowing amber golden color. Very juicy nose with tons of grapefruit and white gummy bears. Oh my. Low bitterness, super juicy, superb mouth feel, very well integrated body. High quaffable. Nice grapefruity finish. Heavy body for a “session” and at 5.2%, but if they just called it an ipa I’d be fine with that. Really delicious.

very turbid amber white color. Beautiful, slightly orange juice character in the nose. Very carbonated, super juicy, tons of orange juice and some white gummy bears. Super drinkable. Medium full body. The body could be smoother but this is amazingly quaffable and super juicy. Name is very apt. Great beer and one heck of an improvement over version 1.

500 ml bottle, 1 year old. Mineral nose, toffee, orange, wood, burnt sugar. Glowing orange-brown and flat. Flavors of wood, treacle, some light orange. Oily, silky and watery and completely flat which makes for a horrible body. Bitter finish. One last disappointment from this series.

I didn't dislike this as much as others it seems. hazy light amber. Nice hoppy nose full of orange gummy bears and some wheat notes. Very light body, modest bitterness, but lack much character. I get this interesting Tang (an orange artificial drink popular in the 80s) flavor in the finish. Not bad, but pretty mediocre.
