Bottle, 355 ml trade with TimE (thanks for this one!), shared with Max and JFK10000. Pours brown, no head. Chocolate, some bourbon, bit of fruit, sweet. Warming, soft carbonation, oily. Medium bodied.

dark brown color. Belgian strong ale with tons of molasses and bananas with lots of vanilla and oak. Smooth, lots of molasses, bananas, bourbon in the mouth. Just odd to have so much hefe in a bourbon ba imperial stout. I didn’t know what to make of it but I drank a bit wanted a bit more, the drank more and wanted a lot more. This hugely grew on me over time. Very interesting

Beautiful deep copper color. Mango, grapefruit, apricots just shine in the nose. Superbly balanced, with excellent backbone, so fuckin smooth. Just like an English IPA with non-English hops at 8%. Super well put together. One of the best iipas I’ve had in Japan and globally competitive

Cloudy dirty brown color. Lots of burnt raisin, Molasses, licorice and fudge in the nose. Amazing depth. Low carbonation molasses, burnt raisins, fudge, malty mouth. Very smooth and great depth for 5%. Had it on handpump but thought the carbonation could have been higher.

clear golden color. Frothy white. Very malty with subtle notes of kabosu. Very malt focused. Slightly sour. Perhaps a bit too subtle. Well made though and a crowd pleaser.

AJB #12 Is a scotch ale (9%) but as they have a regular scotch ale and this is a Barrel Reserve Society brew then I guess it was barrel aged? Served in my thistle glass it was a deep inky black with a thick beige head of foam. The aroma is sweet treacle, oak and chocolate. Medium bodied with oaky, chocolate, bourbon and grape notes it seems less full and rich than their regular scotch ale. I guess the barrel thinned the body out.

Dark brown color. Light brown head. Big roasted malt and buckwheat tea nose. Good dark chocolate, roasted malt, buckwheat tea in the mouth. Very unique, but good use of terroir. Smooth. Nice stuff
