Tap at Komachi. Very pale gold, super hazy, with a thick, low head. Nose is citrus, wheat, a bit floury. Flavor of lemon, orange, wheat biscuits, flour. Texture is a bit too powdery. Nice fruit, nicely acidic, pasty though, and more like American ale yeast than weizen yeast.

Interesting and nice. Stout sweetness bit of choc, but gueuze like sourness too. Unusual

Tap at Bungalow. Glowing, hazy bright electric yellow. Bit tropical fruit nose, guava, passion fruit, mango, orange. Richly fruity and nicely tart. Not wimpy like most Japanese sours, although not stingingly acidic either. Nailed it.

Tap at Bungalow. Deep dark brown with a low, lacy head. Nose is cherry, chocolate, caramel, balsamic vinegar. Lovely. Tart and sweet, fruity and acidic, deeply malty. Reminds me of BFM. Very well done Flemish-style sour, which is very rare in Japan.

light golden color and frothy white head. Pineapples and grapefruit with crackery malt backbone, nice bitterness. A bit of plastic character. Not in the best condition. Should retry.

very turbid golden white color with amber hues. Noticeable bread and citrus notes in the nose but rye is very subdued. Low carbonation, medium bitterness but palate is a bit unbalanced and dirty. Rye jumps up more in the mouth but doesn’t stand out. Certainly not a bad beer, but pretty average

a very translucent deep golden color. Completely flat with thin bubbles. Tart nose with massive oak character and underneath peaches, lemon notes that is very pleasant. A big, very big, oak character up front that just dominates the entire beers. Very overwhelming though I do like the oak character it’s a bit too much. Super flat modestly tart, but ultimately a bit hard to drink.

Can. Bready, crackery malt, lightly toasty, with herbal, lemony hop. Slightly more lemony than I expect in Munich, but lovely soft malt and soft hops. Medium gold, clear, with a medium head. Again soft malt, bready. Hop complexity more than usual for a helles. Seems to have some Munich malt, as it is pretty full in body. Quite lemony. Bitterness also relatively high--far too bitter, actually, almost astringent. Body is lovely. All-in-all a great lager, though the hopping is very aggressive for a helles.
