Very dark brown almost black with a small tan head. Aroma is dark roasted grains and bananas. Taste is also dark roasted grains and bananas.

Bottle coming from the biervana, at Munich, a rather good brown ale, malty, side of nuts, dry for the style, decent bitterness, 08.09.2019

Bottle, $2 from Chalet Premier. Pour is big and black, large and in charge. Creamy tan head fades to pond scum. Nose is all bananas and no stout, interestingly sweet. Big heavy impy stout impact on the taste buds followed up by a bruising banana bang, very unique fer sher. Volatile palate, does not hide alky smash. Quite a crashing turbulent slamming jolt, whew. Not as pastry as many domestic pastry stouts but pastry none the less. Yes, like whisky laced banana pie. Can't find any walnuts or ice cream, but bumping bananas fer sher. Mouth coating unstable and uneasy. I bet Richard Foster, Owen Brennan and the New Orleans Crime Commission would appreciate this mess of an alky bomb. Extra point for the brain numbing effects.

Poured I didn't see from bottle. Sweet malted milk, chocolate and some spice. Pretty useful brew.

Poured a hazy gold from bottle. Strong scent of beeswax. Sweet honey, some malt. A bit too much.

Bottled. Slightly cloudy gold orange pour. Some citrus and hops. Really pretty good for Abita.

Draught. Not sure if a bad keg or what, but a weak, caramel/malty maibock without nearly enough carbon or hops.
