Bottle no. 04773, february 21. Black, edges of tan head. Smells mostly roasty, with a shot of whisky thrown in. Body is very creamy, with some sharp carbonation. Taste is soft bitter, some mellow peatyness, and a good deal of ashy roast. Well balanced.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe, drunk at home. Brownish nlack, opaque and sleek with a small khaki head. Whisky aroma, dominant but not overpowering, with light notes of black coffee. Sweet taste, more coffee and whisky but also a big dollop of milk chocolate. Touch of whisky sourness of the way down, and a papery element. Smooth, oily body, not overly thick but it doesn't need to be. Not too carbonated, just right

Bottled. Deep amber colour with a mediumsized white foamy head, which leaves some slight lace. Aroma is sweet malts, caramel, floral, fruity and wooden tones with a wee bit of spiciness too. Flavour is sweet malts, mild bitter floral and fruity tones with wooden and toast. Warming up it gets a wee bit messier than when close to fridge cold. (score given as to when close to fridge cold).

Draught. Pitch black colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is toasted, some smoked wooden, mild meaty and some slight alcohol and mild caramel tones to it. Flavour is roasted malts, some toffee, mild syrupy tones with a wee bit of alcohol sweetness. Kind of easy going, but yet enjoyable. Chili? not so much actually.
