16 ounce can from Tavour. Barely translucent dark brown color. Frothy tan head. Aroma of dark roasted malt, chocolate and dark bread. Flavor is lightly sweet, roasted malt, dark corn syrup, cocoa and bitter green herbs. Outstanding!

16oz can from Tavour. I've been torn on this style, so I knew I had to try the original. Clear golden pour, with an abundant fluffy white head and streaky lacing. Hoppy aroma with some biscuity notes. Taste is sharp and hoppy, nice bitterness that sticks to the palate. Bready, light sweetness and super easy to drink. I can see why this recipe started a trend.

Aromas are citrus, MJ and dry grain. Flavors are similar to nose with MJ coming out a bit more. Great balance between bitter, sweet and carbonation. Body is a touch thin. Finish is a little grassy. Pretty good beer.

16oz can from Tavour. Dark, clear brown pour, with a layer of cream colored foam. Aroma is light roast malts and cola. Taste is burnt toast, light sweet notes, nutty with a bitterness that lingers well past the finish. Very dry at the end.

Hommage to one of the best pubs in Prague! Bright gold. Thin head. Big malt, herbaceous hops, well balanced. Great hommage…it’s an more of an Urquell than polotmavy but it's done well.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated December 27, 2024.
Aroma is malt forward and rich with lots of toasted bread, caramel, crackers and biscuit. Hints of nuts and chocolate as well. Light herbal hop notes and hints of alcohol.
Pours a clear, brilliant, amber color with ruby and auburn hues and a large, thick, fluffy, tan head that recedes slowly to a small film that lingers. Low lacing and faint legs.
Flavor is somewhat sweet with lots of bread, toasted bread, caramel and crackers. Lighter notes of toffee, nuts and faint chocolate notes. Medium low bitterness and light alcohol notes. Hints of herbal, floral hops.
Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth.
Overall, a solid dunkel. Really nice, complex malt character with good bread and caramel notes. Light, but complimentary hop notes and bitterness.

Aroma has notes of garlic, weed, silicon. Taste is moderately too highly bitter with just a little malt sweetness balancing it out. Normally I wouldn’t care for any beer with too much oniony or garlicy hop character, but it works here for some reason. Very tasty, crisp, clean, and refreshing.
