Description
WAYFINDER BEER is a new brewery project in Portland, Oregon. We have transformed a 8,900 square feet of a century-old brick warehouse in Portland's Central Eastside into a classic destination for beer and food lovers.

Wayfinder is the brainchild of Charlie Devereux (co-founder of Double Mountain Brewery), Matthew Jacobson (co-founder/owner of Sizzle Pie, Quality Bar, and Relapse Records) and Rodney Muirhead (co-founder/owner of Podnah's Pit and La Taq). Our mission: to bring simple and authentic pleasures of the highest quality to the Rose City and beyond.

Guests to Wayfinder will find enjoyment in our 110-seat taphall, or outside on our massive patio. Our menu of handcrafted comfort food features deliciousness from a custom wood-fired grill. We're using our four-vessel, 10-barrel brewhouse to create world-class lagers and ales for onsite enjoyment and wholesale distribution.

Called a festbier at Saraveza. Pale yellow color with white head. Light grassy aroma. Light body malt forward. Pleasing bready finish.

On tap at Wayfinder, pours a hazy golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out Belgian yeast spiciness, dough, and toasted biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with Belgian yeast, floral notes and spicy notes. Rather doughy and tart. It's okay.

On tap at Wayfinder, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Nose brings out the espresso upfront, with toasted biscuity malt. Flavour is very grainy, with toasted grains, earthy espresso and cereal malts. Very grainy and mineraly. Strange choice to throw espresso in a pils. Works okay.

On tap at Wayfinder, pours a hazy dark amber brown with a small beige head. Nose brings out toasted malt, earthy and dry toasted caramel. Flavour is along the same lines, with toasted caramel malt, bready malt, and light earth. Toasted and deep for the style. Very good.

On tap at Wayfinder, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out fresh, tart lacto, crisp biscuity malt and straw. Flavour is very crisp, with medium lacto, light citrus, straw and biscuity malt. Very dry and crisp. This is exactly how I want a non-fruited berliner. Very good.

On tap at Holy Mountain, pours a hazy copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops, some dankness and a herbal character. Flavour is old school, with lots of piney hops, some bitter citrus, and toasted biscuity malt. Piney and dry, with a nice crisp bitterness. Excellent.

Golden, sweet and a little too simple. Doesn't have the bready malt development I need in this style. Aiming a little too close to swill on this one.

Amber, medium head. This has a lot of fruity hop - orange and also some pine. Almost too much malt, as it's light but might be too chewy if you a few pints.

Draught @ Wayfinder. Bit of haze, blonde, medium head. Has a nice tartness, maybe a bit too much.
