16 oz. can, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a medium beige head. Aroma is pretty restrained, with toasted malt, some muted earthy hops, and a hint of roast. Flavour has dry roasted malt, earthiness, restrained hops, and gentle pine. Nice roast, but a bit deficient on the hops. Good stuff.

473mL can. Pours black with a beige head. Roasted malts, some chocolate, a touch pine. Flavour has roasted malts, a bit bready, some dry pine, bitter finish. Could definitely use more hops and more roast, but still a black IPA so hard to complain.

Can from Total Wine in Vacaville, CA. Pours light bright gold with a moderate white head. Aroma suggests strongly of rice with citrus and floral accompaniment. Near med body. Dry and decently bitter. Flavor is some rice with pale prunus fruit, light citrus and something almost like bergamot in a very light note. A hint of white pepper. Quite tasty in a light way.

On tap at Chuck’s Greenwood, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma has a nice mixture of rose petal, light peppercorn, and grassy hops. Flavour is nicely floral, with a real nice rose petal character, light hoppy bitterness, and crisp biscuity malt base. Nicely floral and airy palate. Good stuff.
