Lao Brewery Co Ltd was established in 1973 and is now a joint venture company owned by the Carlsberg Group and the Lao government. The company has grown significantly over the past 20 years and now has more than 2500 employees. It is highly rated in Laos.

The flagship of the company is Beerlao - a strong national beer brand with a 95% market share that has received international awards for quality.

bottle from Heinrichs 3000 Super-Getränkemarkt Kornwestheim. Golden with s small fluffy head. Aroma of old fruit. Malty, shy bitterness, rotting fruit.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe - Clear straw body, thick foamy head. Nose is corny, a bit sweet. Taste goes along the same lines, pretty standard lager, but not the worst by any means.

Bottle from a local Asian restaurant. Poured a slight clear, dark amber color with a pretty large off-white head. Aroma was sweet malts, light toasted notes - light Vienna lager character. Light toast, caramel. Okay, probably one of the best of these kinds of beers you’ll get at a non-craft Asian restaurant.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle poured into a glass. Aroma is nice light grain aroma, light body, medium/light carbonation, and good thin small-bubble lacing. Taste is nice light grain.

Bottle thanks to my wife: Poured a light caramel mixed color with a white head. Aroma is sweet malt. Taste was soggy cardboard, malts, and toffee. Very drinkable.

Mahognybrun klar med fingerhøyt beige skum. Lukter noe brent karamell ristet malt. Søt karamell, noe salt og bitter i ettersmak. Mye kullsyre
