I've heard too many Belgian versions this year. Can tell the difference instantly. Good drop, though.

12oz bottle from HomeBrewStuff Clear golden, one finger fluffy white head. Fruity aroma, citrus first, then tropical plus a little melon. Taste is overripe fruit, then light hop resin notes. Sweet, bitter, mild dryness.

30 May 2022. Bottle from Beer Republic. Vintage 2021. Clear dark brown, thin, tan head. Aroma of dried fig, date, oxidized apple, pear syrup, port, burnt caramel, wet wood, leather. Taste has sweet oxidized apple, pear & raisin in a caramelly malt body, somewhat brown-sugary with herbal & spicy notes. Herbal hoppy finish, dry woody & leathery, lingering dried fruit and warming port-like alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Expected it to be fuller but there's a fine subtle complexity to it.

Bottle. Bottle. Beautiful ebony color, dense, beautiful brown head, the label also commands respect. Caramel malt, chocolate base with a delicate intense dried fruit aroma. The first and the rest of the sips are a concentrated experience. Serious body, bitterness, Earthy, coffee, chocolate malt base. The 9% is really barely noticeable. It sticks to the edges of your mouth. A real Russian imperial stout, a great track competitor. Many thanks to Norbi for purchasing it! I couldn't find a fault with it!!!

Gyönyörű ébenfekete szín, tömör szép barna hab, a címke is tekintélyt parancsol. Karamell-malátás, csokis alapon finom intenzív aszalt gyümölcsös aroma. Tömény élmény az első-és a többi- korty. Komoly test, keserüség, Földes, kávés, csokis malátás alap. A 9% tényleg alig érződik. Ragad a szád széle tőle. Igazi russian imperial stout, nagypályás versenyző. Hálás köszönet a beszerzésért Norbinak! Nem találtam benne hibát!!!

(Bottle) Black colour with lasting, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dark chocolate, coffee, oak wood, vanilla, rye whiskey, liquorice, a touch of mint and herbs. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, coffee, crisp-bread, liquorice, mint, oak wood, vanilla, whiskey and a balanced roasty bitterness in the finish. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Really tasty and well balanced with a gentle wood ageing and a slighly herbal/minty touch. Great beer!
