Bottle: Poured a black color stout with a brown color head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of bitter dry roasted malt with light black chocolate notes. Taste is also a mix of dry roasted malt with some black chocolate notes and some bitter roasted malt notes. Light peppery rye notes are also noticeable. Body is about average with good carbonation. Not bad but doesn’t necessarily stand out either.

On tap at Doan's, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out notes of orangey hops, some citrus and a little resin. Flavour is along the same lines, with piney hops upfront, followed by a slightly spicy and herbal quality. Nicely constructed, with a long finish. Solid IPA.

Cloudy golden color, almost no head. Mild aroma, some malt and hop, but not very expressive. Good body strength, nice pale malt flavor, delicate, off dry; balanced hopping level, a bit fruity, sweet oranges followed by cedar peel, hints of piney resins, but not too impressive. A bit herbaceous in the final.
Nice thirst quencher IPA.

Pale blond color, hazy. Dry and light, but the malts are very crispy, a bit bready. The hops are grassy and with some citrus peel.
Very pleasant beer.

Cloudy pale blond color. Delicate bread aroma. Dry mouthfeel, soft, bread and wheat flavor, tingling rye spiciness, and nice bitterness level. The hop quality is limited to some spicy and citrusy resin, but in doing so the beer is more balanced. Nice. Would be pleasant to drink with food. Close to a Helles.

Poured from the tap. Pale yellow with white head. Light bready cracker malt with some mild hops, quite dry, clean and crisp, but not very exciting. Nice if you want something simple.

On tap at Doan's, pours a hazy yellow with a medium white head. Aroma is very light, with toasted crackery malt and light dry hopping. Flavour is along the same lines, with a sort of spicy dry hoppiness upfront, with a crisp crackery malt base. Better than the version at Faculty, but still not exciting. Crisp, dry finish. Decent.

Draught at Tap & Barrel, Olympic Village; 16oz; 6.3% ABV
Amber color, just hazy, with compact head. They used a very good malt, and you feel it in the aroma and flavor (7.5), with light biscuity qualities, and dry grass, end of summer fields; it’s moderately sweet, it has a round mouthfeel, and the hop is low, as expected, but with light grass feeling.
Very clean. Very good Oktoberfest; within the style it can’t get much better, but I’d like to try a beer with some more noble hops.

On tap at Doan's, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lager yeast, sweet caramel and bready malt. Flavour is dry and malty, with toasted caramel, crusty bread and some light residual sweetness. Well-rounded with good depth, but maybe needs more time, as this style benefits from extended lagering. Good stuff.

On tap at the brewery. Pours an almost opaque dark brown with redish notes. Aroma is roasted malt, oats. Taste is roasted malt, some chocolate and fruity notes. Roasted and burnt malt bitterness slightly sweet aftertaste. Pleasant.
