Rogue Pilot Brewery crafts experimental Rogue brews unique from those you might find at the brewery headquarters in Newport, Ore. Head Brewer Danny Connors will continue operating the 15 barrel system in the back of the pub to innovate with new styles and flavors. The concoctions brewed by both Danny and the Green Dragon Brew Crew (working on a smaller 1 barrel system) will be on tap at Rogue Eastside Pub & Pilot Brewery as well.
Admin Note: Rogue purchased The Green Dragon in 2008. The Green Dragon Brew Crew / Green Dragon Brewing beers have their own entry contract brewed at Rogue Eastside.

Draught. Yellow pour with white head. Light lavender aroma with 'n bietje hop. Light to medium bodied, as an infantryman I call this sessionable. Balanced finish. This a Green Dragon Brew Crew Special Release.

Draught. Pitch black pour with thin white head. Malty aroma, not overpowering or designed to impress, but does. Malt flavour with notes of hop. Get it while you can.

On tap at Green Dragon, Portland. Clear golden with no head. Soft with some light funk, pineapple and notes of bread in the finish. The body was on the light side. Easy to drink.

Pours hazy Arnold Palmer, minimal head or lacing. Aroma is whiskey and green apples, whiff of honey. Flavor is sweet, strongly bitter, lots of raw whiskey, apples, honey, hint of apply tartness. Medium body, fullish mouthfeel, no carbonation. Fair bit of heat.

On tap at Green Dragon, pours a cloudy golden orange with a tiny head. Nose brings out strong whiskey barrels, followed by honey and caramel. Flavour brings out wild honey, whiskey barrels and caramel. Much more complex than the base beer. Good stuff.
