Rogue Pilot Brewery crafts experimental Rogue brews unique from those you might find at the brewery headquarters in Newport, Ore. Head Brewer Danny Connors will continue operating the 15 barrel system in the back of the pub to innovate with new styles and flavors. The concoctions brewed by both Danny and the Green Dragon Brew Crew (working on a smaller 1 barrel system) will be on tap at Rogue Eastside Pub & Pilot Brewery as well.

Admin Note: Rogue purchased The Green Dragon in 2008. The Green Dragon Brew Crew / Green Dragon Brewing beers have their own entry contract brewed at Rogue Eastside.

Not a success from Buckman brewery. Looks like a pils, pours clear yellow with a thick white head. Tastes like a bad sake, too sweet, too sicky. Bad rice finish. Wild rice should be eaten, not drank.

Draught. Pours cloudy yellow with a thin but lasting white head.. An unlagered lager. Aroma is light hop. Flavour is restrained, there is a pear juice note in among the malt and hops.

Another wonderful looking Imperial Stout. Black with a medium beige head. Lekker malt and whisky aroma. Large flavour, malt with bittersweet and a not of veld koffie. Big malt finish. Seek out.

Draught. Rather hoppier than the usual imp stout. Black with a thick beige head. Much lacing. Roasty aroma. Flavour is strong malt, hoppier than the usual imperial stout. There seems to be a rye note in this. Lekker malt finish.

A gorgeous draught IIPA. Hoppy citrusy aroma. Hoppy flavour with a lekker malt kiss. Hurry before it is gone. I met Michael who brewed it and he said this is an attempt to make a ’family friendly’ double IPA

If this is an example of a Victorian era stout, it makes this rooinek envious. Dark pour with with a thick beige head. Aroma is roast malt and chocolate. Flavour is very malty with a full body and lots of character. Hop in the finish. Hurry, damn you hurry, before it is gone.
