Can from Corti Bros. Pours bright gold with a white head. Aroma is moderately tropical with a very faint dank note. Med body or so. Flavor is lightly juicy, moderately tropical, a touch earthy, and hinting at dank. Mild hop burn. Lots of flavor intensity, but not really NW uberintense.

Bottle split at RB Best Hotel Lobby Share, post festival, 31/01/16. Golden orange with a moderate off white head. Nose is pine needle, leafy hop tones, orange pith, citric tinged straw. Taste comprises grapefruit zest, caramel malt, pine needle, bitter orange, toasted bread. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, drying close peppered with leafy hop bitterness and a light dank hop touch. A serviceable enough DIPA in the Old Skool mould.

Can from Corti Bros. Pours gold with a white head. For me the aroma is bready and citrus. Med body or better. Flavor? Well there’s a lot of citrus hop, and I think the malt support is a bit bready. But this stuff burns with citrus hop, and that leaves me a bit confused on malt. I can taste the malt. Just can’t quantify it. So this is a hop bomb that doesn’t reach the harshest NW IPAs, cause this is smooth, tho burning. But there’s no way this is a puny, old school IPA. What hath Device wrought? Something stunning.

Can from Corti Bros. Pours translucent light gold with a white head. Aroma of mixed fruits and citrus. Dank note. Med body or so. It’s very juicy. Flavor is mixed fruits and something like citrus or pine. Malt? Fagiddabodit. There’s enough malt to support, but this is all about hops. Finishes juicy, fruity and a suggestion of dank. Dry. Bitter, but not harshly so. This is a good drink.

Can, and I believe it’s courtesy of Beerboxer. Pours translucent dark gold with a slight white head. Fruity hops waft from the glass. Aroma reinforces the waft. Med + body. Flavor is definitely fruity with some firm citrus underpinning. Nice caramel which can hardly be noticed. This is fruity, dry, bitter and hoppy all the way. Juicy hoppy. Good IPA.
