Bottle: Brown pour with a nice tan head. Aroma is faint and barely noticeable roasty malt. Taste is mild roasty and hints of watery coffee. Pretty underwhelming.

Interesting beer. A light brown color. Sweet potato in the aroma. Some cinnamon flavor, as well as cloves and very light orange/citrus. Unfortunately it is entirely too light, the flavors and aromas are not there in enough strength.

Pine and floral aromas. Decent amber color with a rather weak white head. Full bodied with fairly mild carbonation. Flavor is lots of hop (could be resin and citrus) and some roasted malt that is a bit overwhelmed by the hop (good thing, that). Finish is pretty dry, pretty hoppy, and really tasty.

Draft at Belmont Station. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Dark brown color with a lightly lacing beige/tan head. Full bodied with creamy carbonation. Somehow the whole flavor thing turns into coffee. Lots of coffee. Maybe a bit of chocolate. Definitely roasted/toasted malt, but the coffee rules. Something like a strongly coffee brown ale? Good.

Pours crystal clear copper with lasting off white head. The aroma is light and mostly caramelized malts and almost no hops. The taste has a nice pine hop bitterness right up front followed by mild roasty malts. The whole experience kind of fades into the finish. The after taste has a mild hop bitterness that lingers for a while.

Hazy orangey-gold colour. Fresh aroma is toasty, hoppy with a woody alcohol note. Rounded malt character. Starts with a hint of icing sugar cloyingness. This fades to bold bready malts with a hint of pear. Alcohol comes in late, cutting through the sugars and providing a nice finish. Maybe a beer to drink one glass at a time but this is good.

Brilliant dark amber colour. Aroma of brown sugar and earthy chewiness. Full body. Has a chewy body with a toasty note. Worthy of further exploration.

Deep amber coloured body with a perfect rich tan head. Absolutely beautiful! Aroma of metal, citrus, floral hops, caramel and a good bitterness. Medium-bodied; Light hoppy taste with a very mild malty flavour. Not much going on in the taste - fairly weak for the style. Aftertaste shows some metal and a little amount of hops, hardly any malt though. Overall, a decent IPA - not enough in it for me, but definitely worth trying as the first beer in Seattle! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Ravenna, Washington on 11-February-2007.
