Bottle at Torben Mathews tasting. Pours cloudy bright yellow with small white head. Aroma is malt, grain, yeast, vinegar, cloves and nutmeg. Taste is light to medium sweet, faint bitter and light to medium acidic. Body is watery with medium carbonation. Finish is long and balanced sweet and sour with notes of grain, lemon, star fruit, green apples, green grapes, yeast, vinegar and cloves.

Bottle from Super Brugsen @ Home. Pours clear very dark brown with a creamy tan head. Aroma of malt, candy sugar, star anise. Flavor is sweet, malty, candy sugar, licorice, rich star anise, some alcohol. Medium to full body, average carbonation, sweet finish with warming alcohol. 161123

Bottle. Faint roasted aroma. Very dark brown colour. Small light brown head. The flavour is roasted and creamy with a good cocoa powder note. Good oily mouthfeel.

Bottle, 9.0%. Mild aniseed aroma. Cloudy dark brown colour. Almost no head. The flavour is roasted with a mild aniseed note. Good alcohol level. Nicely sweet.

Bottle @ Fika, Sønderborg, Øllets Dag. Pours hazy copper brown with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel, with touches of metal and hops. Bitter, hoppy amd nutty flavour with sweetish notes of caramel malt and yeast. Roasty and nutty aftertaste with estery touches. Well, a regular, unpretentious brown ale.

Bottle. Good spicy aroma. Cloudy dark brown colour. Small white head. The flavour is quite malty with a good bready note. Spicy and nutty. Mild sweetness, bread and dark sugar. Well-rounded.

Bottle @ Fika, Sønderborg, Øllets Dag. Pours hazy light straw with airy white head. Clear aroma of yeast, with touches of malt and veggies. Sweetish flavour of yeast and malt, with touches of veggies and hops and hints of banana. Bitter and grainy aftertaste. Tolerable.
