Description
Troy Casey began Casey Brewing and Blending in the fall of 2013 with the idea of creating a blendery (a facility that doesn’t have a brewery themselves, but still makes beer) in the Roaring Fork Valley, a place where he and his fiancé had recently decided to make their home. After searching for the perfect location for their barrel cellar, they found their current spot in South Glenwood right on the Roaring Fork River. Troy first began brewing sour and wild beer in 2009 and it quickly took over all of his brewing interest. This all culminated with the creation of Casey Brewing and Blending, a place where Troy will be able to create blends his way.

Bottle - bottling date of 3/28/22 - clear light gold - pours looking totally still, resembling a white wine - nose of tart apple cider, sauv blanc, deep oak, a background acetic punchiness - fuller in the mouth than I was expecting - super dry - lots of grape and apple skin and oak - very light background funk, light lacto tartness, and just enough acetic acid on the tail end - light buggy funk and a slight peachy sweetness on the very end to balance the finishing acetic punch - dang balanced and tasty - giving me Cuvée de Castleton vibes.

16 oz. can. Pours a hazy, yellow color, with a fair, foamy, white head. The aroma is bitter orange peel, quinine, butterscotch, and peach. Sweet and juicy, with a big, pithy bitterness. Medium to heavy body, chewy, and sharp. Aggressive and harsh, but quality.
