[50cl bottle from the Co-op, Bearsden.] A dark chestnut brown pour with a ring of white head; fruity malt aroma with a little spice; sweet malty taste with some raisins and dates to finish. An old-school heavy.

[50cl bottle from the Co-Op, Bearsden.] A bright amber pour with a thin white head; fruity aroma with some apricot; sweet apricot taste with a sharp woody bitterness, then rather jammy so perhaps over pasteurised; then some pine spice and bitter marmalade to finish.

Cask at PoW, Aberdeen. It pours clear brown with a small beige head. The aroma is malt loaf, toffee, dried fruits, toasty brown bread and some nuttiness. The taste is dry, nutty, woody, bitter - sweet, toffee, dried fruits, raisin, sultana and smart price cola with a drying finale. Light body and light carbonation. Lacks a bit of condition tbh. Decent flavour for the low abv nonetheless. Not bad.

Gylden brun klar med lys eggegult skum. Lukter karamell, stenfrukt og noe sitrusskall. Middels bitter. Smaker lett brent karamell, stenfrukt og noe barnål. Middels lang bitterhet.

Bottle from Lidl, Easter Road. Pours clear copper to brown with a thin off-white head. Aromas of toffee, burnt sugar, light spice. Taste is more of the same. Thin finish.

Clear golden, small white head. Aroma of cigar box, apricot marmalade. Taste of apricot, pine, resin.

Klar brun med hvitt skum som blir med meg hele veien. Lukter karamell og aprikos. Malt, barnål og litt tropiske frukter. Krydret og kraftig bitter avslutning.

500ml bottle - Pours a clear chestnut brown colour with a small, diminishing, beige head. Aroma is caramel, sweet malts, light fruit and floral hops. A sweetish and light bitter taste, sweet malts, caramel, plum, raisins and fruity hop flavours with a light bitterness in a bittersweet finish.
