500ml swing-top bottle bought Meny Oslo City after returning from a trip to Eidsvoll. A patchy surface to an unclear amber-red coloured body. Modest aroma of dried fruits and caramel. Moderate taste of caramel, nuts and prunes added by a spicy touch. Dry malty ending. Rather thin bodied. Drinkable, but far from great (hotel room, Oslo 21.06.2014).

Medium beige head. Slightly hazy deep dark red body with carbonation. Fruity strawy caramel aroma with spicy herbal notes. Dry, with sweetness in the background, mealy fruity spicy taste with herbal notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry caramelly wild berry aftertaste with herbal mineraly notes. Nice, drinkable, but the flavours don’t gel completely. (0.5l bottle, from Meny Alna, as 1814 Jubileum Ale.)

Big white head. Faintly hazy yellow body with strong carbonation. Fruity strawy mealy aroma with faint sulphury notes. Dry-sweet fruity minty spicy taste with mealy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, smooth, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish spicy smoky mealy aftertaste with fruity juniper notes. Kind of rough bitterness lingers. (0.5l bottle, Meny Oslo City.)

Hazy dark golden with a white head - Tropical fruits aroma from the hops - Good malt to support the hops that gives a tropical fruity flavour - The hops goes into the finish with fruits and it ends long and dry - This was good

150km ride and worth it. I think the Trappist Monks shall be very happy that you do not brew things like this at large scale Frank. The loveliest Swede in Norway. This brew has a clear amber color with a lovely fine big tan head. Good lacing. Dried fruits and vinous aroma. Full body and a balanced fine sweetness. A pleasant bitterness and oily texture. Soft carbonation. Very fruity and vinous flavor, and still some hops left in this one after two and a half year. Also some oak, and dangerously well integrated alcohol. I do now understand the meaning of ATWOGH. Well they are not wasted Frank. The original brew really made beersex/beergasm understandable. Without the cracy amount of hops you had initially, this would probably not have a fine hop profile in the back today. Really looking forward to batch #111!

Gylden brunorange tåkete med beige skum. Fin bitter humle og bittersøt sitruslukt på denne IPAen. Bitter humle appelsinskall og grape, samt noe søtlige sitrustoner spesielt i starten. Ettersmaken er lang og bitter.

50cl bottle (as 1814 Jubilems Ale [4,5%]) from Meny, Oslo City. Pours pretty close to clear deep amber with a tan head. Malty aroma with some spicy or herbal notes, dried fruits and caramel. Medium sweet and malty with mild herbal and caramely notes. Finishes pleasantly bitter, more so than expected. Medium body with carbonation is on the soft side. A bit thin and watery, but quite drinkable. Not the most exiting beer, but easy to drink and I would assume it goes well with food. --- Beer merged from original tick of 1814 Jubileums Ale on 10 Jun 2014 at 19:49 - Score: 6
