18th Street Brewery was founded as a home brewery by Drew Fox in 2010. After years of hands-on learning and exploration, 18th Street Brewery became official with the release of Sinister DIPA in 2013. Shortly after the Sinister release, we opened a 3,200 square foot brewpub in Gary, IN. Quickly outgrowing that space, we purchased a 32,000 square foot warehouse in Hammond, IN. Our Hammond location now houses our production, packaging, barrel program, a taproom and a full service kitchen. Our original Gary, IN now houses a small 10-barrel open fermentation system, as well as a taproom, craft cocktail bar and kitchen.
We are currently the second largest brewery in Northwest Indiana. Our beers range from saisons to double India Pale Ales to double milk stouts to pilsners and lagers. 18th Street is comprised of hard working, motivated individuals who strive to be the best. We love our jobs. We love our beer. We live and love what we do.

Bottle, 22oz. It pours next to black, clear-looking, and with a small, dense, firm, tan head. The aroma has lots of delicious coffee, with dark chocolate and hints of bonfire and vanilla chiming in. A bit one dimensional, but pleasant. The same goes for the flavor, but at least there’s more evident bonfire notes here. It’s full to medium-bodied, with a pleasant carbonation level. Lasting finish with a roasted kind of bitterness showing up. Well hidden alcohol all the way. Dangerously easy drinkable this one, and sure tasteful. Even though it’s a bit one dimensional, it’s sure a fine brew. 141025

Bottle, 22oz. It pours a dense, finger-thick off-white head over an unclear, orange-golden body. Oranges, resins and some maltyness in the aroma. Rather intense hop flavor, with resins and orange zest. A bit one dimensional hop forward, but it ain’t bad anyway. Lots of bitterness. Full body, a good sweetness and a pleasant carbonation. Lasting bitter finish with piney and citrusy hop flavors. Nice indeed, but lacks some depth I think. 141025
