Tap at Mikkeller Bangkok. Poured a hazy medium amber with a thin frothy whire head and lots of broken lace. The aroma is big yeast, grapefruit citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter with a big grass, yeast sweet citrus hop light bitter, light alcoholic spice palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Grapefruit and alcohol! Works for me :-)

Can. Chocolate fudge malt and hay aroma. Dark brown with giant tan head. Lightly sweet chocolate malt and lightly bitter hay/ash flavor. Nice body. Delicious.

Tap. Pours hazy pale amber, small white head, decent lacing. Aroma is nicely smoky, orange, lemon, wheat. Flavor is light sweet, little bitterness, lots if smoke, a bit meaty, citrus, a light tropical note. Light body. Quite interesting. Points for originality.

Bottle shared by Joes. Clear golden orange color, small to average sized off-white head that leaves fair lacing and lasts for quite a while. Aroma is malts, sweet hops, sweet overripe fruits, tropical fruits. Taste malts, slightly sweet, hops, tropical fruits, resin, moderately bitter. Sticky but a bit thin texture, decent body, medium carbonation. Decent.

Bottle, 22oz. A jetblack beer topped by a dense, finger-thick brown head. The aroma has a solid dose of coffee, with roasted malts, dark chocolate and some molasses. Licorice notes. Cocoa-dry on the palate, sweet and pleasantly carbonated, full-bodied and with a vague alcohol warmth. The flavor is pretty much like the aroma, with coffee, chocolate and roasted malts kept company by molasses, cocoa and a fine bitterness. Lasting bitter and roasted finish with cocoa and chocolate. Very smooth in the very end, with the coffee and chocolate melting together into a higher unity. 141025

Bottle, 22oz. It pours next to black, clear-looking, and with a small, dense, firm, tan head. The aroma has lots of delicious coffee, with dark chocolate and hints of bonfire and vanilla chiming in. A bit one dimensional, but pleasant. The same goes for the flavor, but at least there’s more evident bonfire notes here. It’s full to medium-bodied, with a pleasant carbonation level. Lasting finish with a roasted kind of bitterness showing up. Well hidden alcohol all the way. Dangerously easy drinkable this one, and sure tasteful. Even though it’s a bit one dimensional, it’s sure a fine brew. 141025
