5/VI/17 - sample @ LIBF 2017 (Leuven) - BB: n/a (2017-726) Thanks to the Belgian RB crew for sharing today's beers!
Clear pale blond beer, no head. Aroma: fruity, bit funky, lemony, sweet impression. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: lemon juice, so acidic, tannins, weird stuff, mouth puckering. Aftertaste: more of the same, with a very dry finish.

Bottle sample @ LIBF’17, thanks to the RB-InBev Belgian crew for the share. Paille, col fin blanc. Arôme au nez finement fruité, funk au nez, même base que les autres versions, le tout passe un peu mieux. Palais est funk, fruité avec un petit côté abricot voire de brett. Aigreur perdure sans être trop agressive, râpeux en fin de bouche.

Bottle sample @ LIBF’17, thanks to the RB-InBev Belgian crew for the share. Dorée léger, pas de col. Arôme est aigre avec léger fruité en rétro, funk assez dominant et juste cet accompagnement fruité. Palais reste sur un effet lactique, touche fruité un peu tropicale, râpeux sur la fin et aux dents. Trop neutre, retrouve ps trop l’effet Berliner.

Draught at MBCC, Blue session. Black body, naked surface, minimal lacing. Chocolate malty nose, hints of earth. Taste of cocoa powder, dark dough, molasses and coffee. Lingering ending with warmth from the alcohol. Sipper qualities, overly sweet though. (Copenhagen 12.05.2017).

16 ounce can into pint glass, best before 11/2017. Pours slightly hazy golden/orange/light pinkish color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light pink head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lightly tart watermelon, cucumber, berry, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of watermelon, pale malt, earthy hops, and light fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of lightly tart watermelon, cucumber, berry, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/grassy/spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of watermelon, cucumber, berry, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for as good bit. Nice robustness and balance of watermelon, pale malt, earthy hops, and light fruity yeast flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from bitterness and carbonation, increasing through the glass. High carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, and moderately bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.7%. Overall this is a nice fruit beer. All around good robustness and balance of watermelon, pale malt, earthy hops, and light fruity yeast flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. Nicely flavorful and not watery feeling for the ABV. A nicely enjoyable offering.
