Nearly black with a firm, two fingered tan head. Starts with nice soft roasted malts, chocolate, earthy, and then moves on to a little burnt malt and toffee. Dark fruit appears int he finish briefly. Medium to full, creamy body. Straight-forward and well-crafted. Delicious.

Can (1/27/25) from ClarkVV--thanks, Clark! Mostly clear (fine particulate mist) orange with tons of sparkle, thin head with poor retention, trace lacing. Aroma is strong sweet malt, bit of apricot and honey, as advertised--a bit reminiscent of a golden stout--but no coffee. Taste resembles aroma but also has mild sweet coffee. Smooth, thick texture, medium bodied, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Well made and my fault for not getting to earlier so coffee likely to have faded over 19 months! Can only blame myself, not Allagash--time crept up on me! Still decent but hopefully nobody is going to have this after me unless they brew another batch! Am grading on a bit of a curve due to my error.

A nice addition to the brewery’s lineup. Super drinkable. Soft bitter straw, crispy cereal, grain, a little grass, ample biscuits, moderate sweet was. Great balance. Clean finish. A little more bitter snap would take this up a level. As is, it’s super drinkable still.
