Can - this is pretty solid - reminds me a little bit of the golden age of Southampton Double White before Southampton went to shit - real OGs know what the fuck I’m talking about - this one is a little heavy-handed on the spice, but it is soft and full in the mouth and has a nice clean honey sweetness to it - soft wheat notes and some orange peel on the back end - to heavy on the ginger, but quite nice.

Monk's: pours very light for a quad: kind of amber with a white head. Aroma is funky, woody and fruity. Taste is a little tart, kind of sweet. Medium bodied. Nice slighty earthy aftertastez

Earthy, roasty, maybe a little oxidized. Not lots of barrel flavor.

Can (3/3/25) from trade with ClarkVV--thanks, Clark! Lightly hazy, pale yellow, tons of sparkle, huge head with excellent retention, soapy lacing. Aroma is strong Belgian fruit, orchard fruit, light spice, hint of tart element. Taste is strong sweet Belgian fruit, citrus, milder orchard fruits. Smooth texture, medium bodied, soft carbonation and finish as taste with late yeast, alcohol warmth. Nice to have a Tripel again--haven't had one in a while. This is to style but isn't memorable.

Can from Systembolaget. Esb appearance but flat as a pancake. A bit too sweet for me and with no lasting character.
