Bottle. A dense, off-white head sits on top of an almost clear golden body. Citrusy, piney aroma with some citrus peel. Light bread maltyness too. The flavor has a nice blend of bitterness and sweetness, but it’s too bready and malty. Pine cones, orange peel and some pink grapefruit. Full to medium body, pleasant carbonation. A bit short finish. Well, it’s a quite decent one, but it lacks a bit all the way. 140418

Bottle bought through Systembolaget. Pours very hazy orangish yellow with a rather big frothy and fizzy offwhite head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of soapy trace and lacing on the glass. Smell is slightly sour and slightly funky with wheat crackers, lemon juice, yuzu juice, barnyard, leather, dry soil, hay, lemon zest, unripe banana and hints of sour milk. Taste is tiny sweet, slightly bitter and funky with wheat crackers, hay, pepper corns, dry soil, barnyard, leather, orange zest, banana bread, apple skins, cookie dough and lemon zest. Mouthfeel is slightly dry, slightly round, tiny astringent and medium bodied. Finish is bitter and funky with wheat crackers, hay, pepper corns, dry soil, leather, barnyard and orange zest. Ok…

Bottle. Hop sludge in the neck when opening the bottle. Hazy orange liquid with medium off-white head. Aroma of mango, pineapple, weed, citrus, grapefruit, lychee, bread and tangerine. Really shows a lot of Galaxy hops. Taste is dry and medium to high bitter with notes of fresh hops, mango, citrus and bread. A tiny bit of alcohol. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. You can feel some hop sediment in the mouth. A real hop bomb, but very rough around the edges. The bitterness is a bit astringent and hop sludge isn’t very appetizing.

Bottle at Bruce’s keller, thanks to Kenny, minister for the interior of Danish beer bottles, 08/04/14. Murky light black with moderate faded tan spottage effect that thins further. Nose is sweet, boozey overcoat and trilby, nail polish, honeycomb, sugars, dark malts, bit of a one trick pony. Taste comprises sweet tones, honey, sugars, spice, boozey twang, light cocoa. Full bodid, fine carbonation, sweet boozey close. Ok - little hot and sweet, choclified mead, I couldn’t drink a lot of this.
